Rohet House, Jodhpur

This gem of a privately owned high end luxury boutique stay in an upmarket residential neighbourhood of Jodhpur, has been stunningly refurbished and is beautifully done. The owners and your hosts, Siddharth and Rashmi Singh also live there so you can be assured of the most gracious, generous, warm and personalised attention. Staying at Rohet House is like staying at someone’s beautiful home rather than a hotel.

As you enter this lovely property through enormous wooden gates, a perfect turquoise blue pool and wonderfully comfortable verandah awaits, with sun loungers under a large white canopy at the far end.

There are a total of 9 beautiful rooms or Suites, and each one has been individually and exquisitely designed by Rashmi, with lovely furniture, gorgeous fabrics and wallpaper, stunning marble bathrooms, and every comfort you could wish for. The attention to detail is amazing and it’s completely obvious that the whole place exudes a labour of love.

The cuisine is outstanding, and meals are taken in the main beautifully decorated dining room or on the charming dining verandah overlooking the lawn and garden. Pre dinner drinks and canapes are enjoyed around the brazier fire on the lawn each evening.

Whilst Rohet House does not have views of the fort or the city, everything you’d want to see is just a short drive away, and the staff are extremely helpful and courteous, and will advise on or organise wherever you might want to go. The place is extremely peaceful and is a joy to return to after a day’s colourful sightseeing and shopping around Jodhpur. On that note, don’t miss a wonderful early morning walk of this fascinating city with Avijit Singh, the son of the owners.

For exquisite comfort, outstanding cuisine, and an elegant intimate stay, Rohet House is an extremely rare find.
